Will this work with Boost black edition that have serial numbers?
Yes, the ceramic heating rods are interchangeable. We currently are backordered for the version 2 (hollow) rods.

How exactly do I disconnect the broken ceramic heating rod and replace it with the new one. Thanks
Hello! Simply remove the glass first then remove the nail by twisting counter-clock wise and then grasp the rod and pull straight up. When inserting the new rod, ensure the connector pins line up with the holes. Put back the nail and glass and you should be good to go.
